Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit. The role oversees daily operations on nights, leads nursing staff, and ensures safe, high-quality patient care.

The supervisor collaborates with the Director and Nurse Manager, manages staffing and regulatory compliance, mentors staff, and provides direct patient care as needed within RN scope.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred for Intensive Care.
• NRP required within 90 days after hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
