Job summary

The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System seeks 4 night shift Nursing Assistants to provide basic care to Veterans with acute or chronic conditions in diverse settings. Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff, monitoring patient needs, supporting daily living activities, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Applicants pending completion of education or licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements: US citizenship.
• A minimum of six months of general experience OR one year of education above high school OR completion of an eligible Nursing Assistant training program.
• English language proficiency is required for spoken and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to Veterans in diverse settings.
• Assist nursing staff with daily tasks and patient needs.
• Monitor patient needs and respond appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for Veterans.
