Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England’s Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift. The role focuses on assisting physicians, supporting patient daily needs, and maintaining safety in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include collecting and reporting patient data, transporting patients, assisting with daily living activities, collecting specimens, and delivering supplies. BLS certification and a CT-approved CNA program are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation.
• Patient transport.
• Collection of specimens.
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients.
• Monitor patient safety for at-risk patients as assigned.
