Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Hackensack, NJ. This part-time, night-shift role focuses on nursing leadership, staff development, and evidence-based practice to improve patient care.

The ANM will participate in recruitment, engage in unit goals, and conduct performance evaluations, while ensuring quality improvements and effective rounds with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
• National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff.
• Monitor unit orientation processes for all roles as necessary.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient and family experience.
• Ensure unit-based performance improvement monitoring is completed.
