Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Float Pool. The shift is 7pm–7:30am, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced patient care setting under the supervision of an RN.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA preferred, and completion of a Nurse Assistant program (or enrollment in a nursing program). BLS certification is required during orientation; physical ability to lift and move patients is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision, including personal care activities.
• Maintain clean, safe, and therapeutic environment per HFHS standards.
• Document patient care and assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned and supply deliveries to patient rooms.
