CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex care in a per diem capacity. The role emphasizes independent practice, nursing process application, patient education, and delegation where appropriate to support clinical teams.

You will work 7PM–7AM, applying standards of care per ANA and organizational competencies. A BSN is preferred, with BLS and an active RN license (state or compact).

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Precepted by a designated trained staff member and competency validation completed.
• Annual competency verification requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Using the appropriate protocol, administer medications and treatments; monitor side-effects and effectiveness of treatment prescribed.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
