Job summary

USG's Shoals gypsum facility in Indiana seeks a Mill Production Operator to join a fast-paced, safety‑driven team. You'll operate and monitor production equipment, perform quality checks, and move materials with front-end loaders in a dusty environment.

This night shift offers pay from 22.00 to 32.55 per hour, full benefits from day one, and opportunities to participate in safety programs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must work in a physically demanding, dusty environment and climb stairs daily.
• Safely operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with quality checks or sampling preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with common hand tools.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts.
• Team-oriented with good communication and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment for quality and efficiency.
• Perform quality sampling and testing per specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment such as a front-end loader to move materials.
• Shovel rock to support production flow and cleanup.
• Troubleshoot equipment and adjust to meet specifications.
• Record production data in required systems or logs.
• Assist with routine maintenance using basic hand tools.
• Follow plant safety rules and housekeeping standards.
• Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with team and other departments to maintain workflow.
• Adapt to overtime, weekends, and shift changes.
