Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Miller Operator for a grain milling facility in St. Ansgar, IA. This full-time role operates oat cleaning, grinding, and delivery systems on a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 4 on/4 off schedule.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities. Safety and quality are prioritized in daily operations, with opportunities for ongoing maintenance and improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with simple software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work around grain dust and in non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate oat cleaning, dehulling, grading, blending, and delivery systems.
  • Run kiln conditioning, finishing, cutting, and product transport systems.
  • Monitor production, quality, and yield checkpoints.
  • Communicate with mill operators, receiving, and office staff on inventory and production needs.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and scheduled operational cleaning.
  • Maintain food safety, GMP, and quality standards at all times.
  • Participate in team huddles and support continuous improvement.
  • Stop production when safety or food quality is at risk.
