Job summary

Kymera International is seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to support quality control, product development, and failure analysis. You will prepare samples, operate lab equipment, and document results per industry standards and internal procedures.

The role involves metallographic examinations, hardness and mechanical testing, and data reporting to engineers. Entry-level with training is possible, with focus on safety and precision in a fast-paced metal materials environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred for advanced testing.
• 1–3 years in metallurgical or materials testing lab; entry-level with training accepted.
• Ability to work with lab equipment and follow safety/quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal samples using cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing.
• Conduct metallographic exams with optical and SEM equipment.
• Perform hardness, tensile, impact and other mechanical tests.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments (Rockwell testers, spectrometers, SEM).
• Record data, generate reports, and communicate results to engineers.
• Ensure lab safety and quality system compliance; calibrate equipment.
