Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the per diem night shift in Bethlehem. The role provides direct care to psychiatric inpatients and supports the treatment plan under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include bedside care, documentation in the EMR, and participation in group activities. A School Diploma or GED is required with caregiving experience preferred; BLS is expected. Per diem status with weekend/holiday minimal requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with post-secondary coursework preferred.
• Experience in human services or healthcare settings strongly preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing patient care and therapeutic groups.
• Provide direct care, monitor patients, and document interactions in EMR.
• Perform routine procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, vital checks) as required.
• Respond to emergencies and crisis calls; triage and coordinate with staff.
• Support activity of daily living and collaborate with the nursing team.
