Sonshine Manor in Republic, Missouri is seeking a Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) to join our nursing team during the night shift. Responsibilities include preparing medications, administering doses, documenting administration, and notifying nurses of changes in patient condition.

The role emphasizes safety, compassionate resident care, assistance with daily living activities, and adherence to facility policies and federal/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and conditions.
• Ability to prepare medication doses accurately.
• Patient, calm demeanor.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing medications for patients.
• Administering various types of medication throughout the day.
• Recording every dose of medication administered.
• Observing patients to look for changes.
• Notifying nurses about changes or medical issues with patients.
• Following all safety protocols.
• Assist Residents with daily living activities, to include delivering meals, and providing plenty of fluids and nourishment meals throughout scheduled shift.
• Help Residents with personal hygiene.
• Assist Residents with feeding and serving nutritional supplements.
• Making the Resident's beds and keeping their living areas clean and tidy.
• Assist other staff in other departments as needed.
• Adhere to professional standards and follow all facility policies and procedures.
• Abide by all federal, state and local requirements and standards.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all Residents and Facility data.
