Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Lab department at Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. This full-time night role requires performing waived to moderately complex testing and adhering to CLIA-tested procedures.

Qualified candidates hold a state license where required, ASCP certification or equivalent, and an associate’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science, with hospital lab experience preferred. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license where required.
• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or completion of MLT coursework.
• 1 year of hospital laboratory work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, highly and moderately complex testing per CLIA guidelines.
• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain quality control and document corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain instruments, review accuracy of results, and assist in policy development.
