Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a Night Shift Medical Lab Scientist in Cushing, OK. This full-time position performs core clinical laboratory testing, quality control, and keeps accurate records to support patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or a related science, ASCP certification, and current knowledge of laboratory techniques. Prior clinical lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical or biological science.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, quality control, preventative maintenance, minor equipment repairs, inventory control, and statistical compilation.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, laboratory education, new employee training, and proficiency testing when assigned.
