Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE in the United States is seeking a third-shift assembler/inspector to develop the competencies necessary to perform assembly and inspection operations. The incumbent seeks out and readily accepts opportunities for cross training and is expected to follow written procedures to meet production and quality requirements.

Under supervision, the role involves setting up equipment, performing inspections, and documenting results while participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 years light assembly in regulated industries; medical device experience preferred.
• Ability to read detailed instruction and comprehend blueprints.
• Familiarity with microscopes and measuring devices preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC soldering standards preferred.
• Proficient in assembly operations.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Integer Core Beliefs, Behavioral Based Safety process and Integer Associate Quality Policy.
• Sets up equipment needed for assembly/inspection as per MPI and QWI.
• Under moderate supervision, understands own tasks and how they relate to others in their team. Follows Standard Work where applicable.
• Understands overall production flow within their department.
• Assembles component parts per print; uses both manual and automatic machines.
• Inspects parts and assemblies for conformance to specifications; identifies and escalates quality non-conformances.
• Completes Device History Records and other manufacturing documentation per GDP.
• May package assemblies for shipping.
• Participates in team activities focusing on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Expands skill base through on-the-job training, cross-training and classroom instruction.
• Performs other functions as required.
