Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in New York is seeking a Night Shift RN on 12-hour shifts to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on the Med/Surg unit. The position requires current NYS registration and licensure, and graduates from an accredited nursing program.

BSN preferred; 1–2 years Med/Surg experience preferred with ventilator patient experience. BLS is required and Med-Surg certification is a plus. Nights with every other weekend and holds; 7p-7:30a.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN registration and licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years Med/Surg experience preferred; ventilator-patient experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Med-Surg certification preferred.
• Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines on the assigned unit.
