Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 3 West Med/Surg unit, focusing on post-surgical and high-acuity care. The role involves direct patient care in accordance with our standards and organizational values.

The position is 30 hours per week on the night shift (7p-7a) with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts one week and two 12-hour shifts the next, including weekend and holiday rotation. A supportive, multidisciplinary team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Delegates tasks to ancillary staff and may precept students or new hires.
