Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a Night shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care on a Med-Surg unit. The role requires RN licensure in New Jersey, BLS, and hospital experience.

You will collaborate with physicians, supervisors, and the care team to develop and execute nursing care plans, monitor patient conditions, and ensure compliance with standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Prior charge/previous leadership experience.
• Prior acute care experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
