Job summary

OCTAL - an Alpek Polyester Business in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a reliable Material Handler to move materials with a forklift within our manufacturing facility. This night shift role operates on a 12-hour rotation (2-2-3) with weekend work, aiming to maintain safe and efficient material flow.

The successful candidate will perform loading/unloading, inventory checks, labeling, and packaging tasks while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload gaylords from manufacturing equipment in congested areas of operation and warehouse.
• Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Ensure that materials are properly labeled and stored in the correct location.
• Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of materials.
• Assist with the packaging and shipping of materials as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
