Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC is seeking a Material Handler I for its Ohio facility. Shift runs 5:45p to 6am, Monday through Thursday, with a pay rate starting at $21.50 per hour and a $1.50 per hour night shift premium.

Under general supervision, you will prepare and package finished coils, operate the exit recoiler and a forklift, and coordinate with maintenance and QA to meet daily goals. The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED or relevant experience.
• Basic computer literacy and good printing/scanning skills required.
• Ability to follow procedures for labeling and packaging of finished coils.

Responsibilities

• Operate exit recoiler controls and packaging line for finished coils.
• Verify finished goods identification via identification ticket before storage.
• Prepare materials for packaging and shipping of coils.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify Quality Control.
• Transport coils using coil cart and forklift as needed.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to resolve issues.
