Job summary

Dexcom Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Material Handler 2 to perform receiving, shipping, manufacturing support and inventory control under general supervision.

You will move materials physically and in ERP/WMS systems, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. With 2+ years in material handling, 1+ year operating electric material handling equipment, Oracle/WMS or ERP/WMS experience, and forklift certification, you will excel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in material handling
• 1 year Oracle/WMS or 2 years of experience completing transactions in other ERP/WMS system
• 1+ year experience operating electric powered material handling equipment
• Basic computer data entry skills
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• You complete all warehousing activities including but not limited to receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control in compliance with Safety, cGMP, and Quality Standard Operating Procedures.
• You unload, load, put away, and retrieve material utilizing hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
• You are able to obtain and/or maintain certification on at least one type of material handling equipment.
• You perform transactions in ERP/WMS systems including but not limited to shipping, entering cycle counts, material receipts, shipments, and related activities.
• You are able to look up material status and location in ERP/WMS systems.
• You utilize Outlook to communicate with internal partners through email.
• You are able to complete basic data entry in Excel or other programs.
• You perform 7-point inspections on tractor trailers prior to unloading and loading materials.
• You inspect inbound materials for damages.
• You verify material information including but not limited to part number, lot number, expiration date, and quantity against vendor paperwork and purchase orders.
• You review raw material specifications for instructions prior to receiving and labeling materials.
• You prepare pick lists for materials based on requests from manufacturing and/or planning.
• You pick, stage, and transact bulk and non-bulk materials.
• You actively look for opportunities to drive improvements in operations and bring suggestions to supervisory staff.
