Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for POROS resin production in Massachusetts. The role involves operating large-scale process equipment, ensuring safety and quality under GMP standards, and supporting maintenance and distribution as needed.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing or related fields, and experience with cGMP environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or related field required
• 1 year experience with chemicals or biotech preferred
• Experience in cGMP Environment, use of Delta V, and/or SAP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate reactors, pressure filters, pumps, filling, labeling and packaging equipment according to SOPs and UOPs in a large scale, chemical batch manufacturing process.
• Performs various activities in accordance with SOP and UOP’s to carry out unit operations such as equipment changeovers with Lock Out Tag Out and Confined space protocols.
• Maintain batch and equipment records per ISO13485 standards and Good Documentation practices with a high focus on quality.
• Work with the team on 5S and continuous improvement activities within the work center including cleaning activities in areas as needed.
• May be asked to train new employees on basic and beginner tasks.
