Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Entry Level Machine Helper for the production department. The role is an hourly position on the 3rd shift with a premium for night shift and opportunities for advancement within operations.

Ideal candidates have a commitment to safety, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred, and a HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 8- or 10-hour shifts.
• Must be self-starting and able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various manufacturing equipment following specific directions.
• Maintain safety rules, lift/push/pull >50 lbs, navigate stairs, stand long periods.
• Read a tape measure to 1/16" and perform basic math; use basic computer skills.
• Perform inspections and report any equipment issues; assist with housekeeping and organization.
