Job summary

System One is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) for an onsite contract role in Rockwall, TX. The position focuses on mechanical and electrical maintenance of production equipment, troubleshooting PLCs, and supporting safety and quality standards.

You will perform PM tasks, handle work orders, and document activities while coordinating with other teams and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Lifting up to 50-80 lbs as required.
• Ability to stand for eight plus hours and perform repetitive motions.
• Climb ladders and operate manlift/scissor lift with safety equipment.
• Read and interpret technical information for repairs and troubleshooting.
• Work in a non-air-conditioned environment and handle oils, greases, and coolants.
• Follow safety, GMP, and OSHA standards; participate in preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment integrity and timely repair.
• Support Preventive Maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and plant electrical systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Complete work orders within allotted time and maintain logs.
• Communicate across departments and assist with line startups.
• Maintain inventories and parts reorder lists.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.
