Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and health & biosciences, is seeking a night shift maintenance technician in Madison, WI. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical maintenance, installation support, and preventive tasks to keep plant operations running smoothly.

The position requires a background in technical fields, with a preferred technical degree or apprenticeship. You will work in a safety-focused environment with ISO/HACCP/GMP standards and extensive equipment coverage,

Qualifications

• Background or training in mechanical, electrical, or related technical fields.
• Technical degree or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across mechanical, electrical, civil, and general trade functions during the 3rd shift.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assemble, move, and transport material-handling equipment as needed.
• Carry out site-preparation tasks including drainage, concrete work, partitioning and basic construction support.
• Perform routine lubrication, equipment cleaning, and pulling electrical wiring.
• Conduct routine inspections and follow preventive maintenance tasks via SAP maintenance module.
• Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, parts, tools, and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety and quality requirements including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMPs, HACCP.
• Support general facility upkeep including pumps, motors, boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and packaging equipment.
