Sequel Wire and Cable LLC in Argos, IN seeks a Maintenance Technician - Nights (Low Voltage Division) to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment including wire drawing, extrusion, and jacketing lines. The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, and a safety-conscious mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (wire and cable industry experience is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electricity, motor controls, and PLC basics.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with troubleshooting extrusion or wire drawing equipment is highly desirable.
• Must be comfortable working a rotating shift including working every other weekend.
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on wire and cable production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support production by ensuring minimal equipment downtime and fast response to breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults using schematics, PLC interfaces, multimeters, and control systems.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and safety improvements.
• Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and support a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments, including production and engineering, to resolve issues efficiently.
