Job summary

Insteel Industries is hiring a Machine Operator for the night shift (Mon.–Thu., 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) to support the manufacturing of steel wire reinforcing products. The role requires a solid mechanical foundation, ability to operate equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will perform quality checks, document production activity, and assist with equipment maintenance while working cohesively with the team in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand simple written instructions.
• Knows basic mechanical processes and equipment function principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate designated machinery to facility standards and production specifications.
• Perform operator quality checks according to ASTM standards.
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of machines and facilities as required.
• Use computer systems to track and document daily production activity.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Adhere to PPE guidelines and safety standards; work in a team environment.
