Job summary

Axis Communications in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Machine Operator for a rotating night shift from 6:45pm to 7am. You will set up, run, and maintain production equipment, perform in-process quality checks, and document results.

You will read work orders and procedures, troubleshoot routine issues, and collaborate with teams to meet production goals while maintaining safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude (required).
• Reads and interprets work orders and technical documents.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Set up machines, load materials, monitor operations and adjust for quality.
• Perform in-process inspections and report defects.
• Read work orders and follow SOPs; document results.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
