Job summary

Brentwood Industries, Inc. in Reading, PA is seeking a Machine Operator I to support our night shift from 10:30pm to 7:00am.

You will read work orders, feed materials, operate forming machines, inspect parts, and document production data while maintaining 5S and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 50 lbs; Brentwood offers a competitive wage, benefits, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Reading orders and BOMs to produce compliant parts.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders or BOM to produce a part that meets specifications.
• Assist set-up with feeding materials into inline forming machines when necessary.
• Remove scrap materials from machine and dispose of per procedures.
• Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or malfunctions.
• Inspect quality of finished product and report issues to Shift Supervisor or Quality dept.
• Input accurate daily production information in computer shop floor data system.
• Maintain department housekeeping and 5S program requirements.
