Job Purpose:

Set up, operate, or tend to machines and equipment to support textile production.

Essential Duties:

• Work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Operate high-speed machinery and conduct tests for optimal performance
• Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded
• Maintain attendance and follow company procedures
• Follow instructions accurately
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices
• Complete drug and background screenings successfully

Knowledge and Skills:

• Monitoring gauges and indicators
• Controlling equipment operations
• Troubleshooting machine issues
• Conducting quality inspections
• Managing time effectively
• Performing routine maintenance
• Making informed decisions

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for up to 10 hours
• Move over 300 ft area
• Lifting up to 10 lbs, pushing 500 lbs on wheels
• Reaching approximately 4,500 times per shift
• Constant bending and stooping
• Walking between machines spaced 36 inches apart

Safety and Environment:

• Standard hearing and vision tests
• Use of personal protective equipment
• Handling chemicals and dyes with protective gear
• Work in environments exceeding 100 degrees in some departments

Compensation:

Pay range: $12.45 - $14.30 per hour
