Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring at the IAH Detention Facility in Livingston, Texas for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). You will provide nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with the nursing director to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.

This full-time, 12-hour night shift (6pm–6am) offers a $31/hour base plus a $2/hour night differential and a $2,500 bonus. Comprehensive medical, vision, dental, disability, PTO, and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related experience (LVN) or similar role.
• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
• Current Texas LVN license or compact state; CPR certification.
• Valid Texas driver's license unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Assess detainee health status and prescribe treatment under supervision.
• Prepare examining room and equipment; assist with provider line.
• Administer medications; maintain medication records and secure storage.
• Perform emergency procedures and contact physicians for orders.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Conduct chart reviews and monitor detainees with health issues.
• Provide health counseling and health education as required.
• Complete and maintain logs and reports.
