Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing places talent with partner healthcare facilities across the nation. This assignment is for an LPN in Lewiston, Maine, on the nights shift, for 12 weeks, providing bedside care and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with medications and IV therapy, and ensuring safety and infection control. LPN/LVN licensure, IV and BW certifications, and BLS are required, with 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year of LPN Med Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.

Education
