Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Med/Surg unit on a 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift. The position emphasizes patient care using the nursing process under supervision, with accountability for care delivery and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and an active LPN license in the state. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with Mercy’s comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Must obtain and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state where nursing duties are performed.
• The individual is responsible for meeting and maintaining all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
