Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med-Surg assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role requires nights shifts and supports patient care in a busy unit.

The selected candidate will provide bedside care, monitor patient status, assist with IV therapy and blood draws, and collaborate with RNs and physicians while maintaining EMR documentation and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year of LPN Med Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
