Job summary

JourneyPure At The River seeks a Night Shift LPN-Inpatient to provide high-quality nursing care for detox and residential patients in a behavioral health setting. You will perform assessments, med passes, and documentation in the EMR while ensuring safety and adherence to policy during the 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shift, including every other weekend.

Active LPN license in Tennessee, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of nursing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing in the state of practice.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, or residential care strongly preferred.
• Experience administering medications and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
• Knowledge of CIWA/COWS assessments and withdrawal protocols preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments for detox and residential patients, including vitals and withdrawal monitoring.
• Provide patient education related to medications and treatment plans.
• Respond promptly to medical or behavioral emergencies and follow facility protocols.
• Complete accurate and timely medication passes during assigned hours and document discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed, accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Recovery Coaches and on-call providers to coordinate care and shift hand-offs.
• Assist in admissions, nightly duties, safety checks, and preparing for morning med pass.
