Job summary

The Rappahannock Regional Jail is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Stafford, VA. This is a full-time position with 12 hour night shifts from 5:45 pm to 6:00 am.

Qualifications

• Moderate experience in professional practical nursing or equivalent.
• Possession of Virginia nursing certification upon hire.
• Valid Virginia driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with sick call clinic; prepare patient histories.
• Provide nursing care in the facility infirmary and crisis cells.
• Conduct rounds for patients in medical cells.
• Maintain patient confidential records using electronic systems.
• Administer medications and discuss conditions with physicians.
• Perform clinical tasks like obtaining blood pressures.
• Inventory medical supplies and order as needed.
• Assist in training new employees.
