Job summary

Dodge County Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift (7pm-7am) to provide patient care during pre/post operative periods and during medical illness. Functions within nursing standards and the hospital’s policies.

The role supports RNs, updates care plans, and participates in discharge planning, with responsibilities including documentation, education, and emergency readiness. Requires GA licensure and completion of orientation and annual training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure (GA).
• Successful completion of medication administration evaluation.
• Able to perform essential nursing duties after three-month orientation.
• Complete required DCH education units annually.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with data collection and care planning.
• Document interventions and patient responses.
• Monitor patient status and report changes.
• Provide patient and family education on procedures and medications.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinating care.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and medication administration.
