Job summary

University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking an LPN for the Chandler 5 Main Acute unit in Lexington, KY. You will join a multidisciplinary ambulatory team, providing patient care, ensuring satisfaction and positive clinical outcomes while following 12-hour night schedules.

Requires Kentucky LPN licensure and licensure, with no supervisory responsibilities. The role demands strength to lift 50-100 lbs daily and occasional weekends/holidays, and includes potential pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
• Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, co-workers and physicians.
• Strong organizational, prioritization and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and contribute to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
• Perform duties such as starting IVs and simple wound dressings.
• Notify RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patient’s condition.
