Qualifications

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist verified through NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Perform all respiratory care procedures in general and critical care settings.
• Provide shift-by-shift clinical leadership for respiratory practice.
• Assist with ongoing development and evaluation of orientation needs.
• Apply innovative teaching strategies for clinical education.
• Function as a 'Charge Therapist' to ensure staffing levels.
