Job summary

Maricopa County's Correctional Health division seeks a Charge Nurse for night shifts (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) in the ITR facility. You will guide nursing staff, perform health assessments, and coordinate clinical interventions to ensure efficient inmate care.

Requirements include a minimum of two years RN experience in hospital/ambulatory care and a valid AZ-licensed or multi-compact RN. Night shifts include weekends with strong teamwork and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or ambulatory care setting.
• A valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state

Responsibilities

• Functions as a lead nurse on shift; develops clinic assignments and duties of nursing staff to ensure that patient care needs are met.
• Supports the ITR Nurse Manager and Supervisor with initiatives to maintain clinic compliance with NCCHC and organizational standards.
• In partnership with nursing leadership, communicates and drives operational improvement and change management initiatives within the clinic(s).
• Creates and maintains an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles.
• Reviews nursing documentation and Electronic Health Record queues to ensure that nursing tasks are completed.
• Ensures availability of equipment and supplies necessary for the daily operation of the clinic.
