AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an experienced RN in a night shift to deliver critical care and comprehensive patient management. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and monitor patient responses while collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with emphasis on documentation in EMR and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• RN with strong critical care knowledge and patient assessment ability.
• Experience using Cerner EMR or EPIC systems preferred.
• CPR and BLS certified with ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
