Job summary

A leading healthcare staffing agency is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This 13-week contract position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care during the labor and delivery process. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, possess several certifications including ACLS and BLS, and hold a valid RN license in New Mexico. Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
Must possess a valid New Mexico or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
Conduct assessments, initiate care plans, and coordinate patient care during labor and delivery.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using external fetal monitoring.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including recovery post-procedure.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Implement and maintain infection control measures throughout the delivery process.
