Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Lab Technician for 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM) with a starting rate of $23.75/hr plus a $1.50/hr shift differential for applicable shifts. The role focuses on testing, sample handling, and QA programs to ensure food safety and quality.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, documenting data, preparing reports, and maintaining lab records while following GMP and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related lab/QA experience
• Up to 1 year of food manufacturing lab or QA experience preferred
• Certification/license may be required during employment such as Better Processing Certificate or antibiotic testing

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect products at various stages of batching and production
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Prepare reports of results and maintain lab records
• Perform sample setup, testing, and clean-up
• Ensure compliance with GMP and health and safety requirements
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values or trends immediately
