Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential job function with visual acuity and effective communication.
• Comply with safety principles and applicable regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, DHHS, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and other specimens from patients according to established standards.
• Labels, transports or stores specimens accurately and timely per Standard Work.
• Processes specimens including centrifuging, separating, storing and distributing to testing areas.
• Completes patient registration and data entry for test orders and related systems.
• Identifies and resolves routine specimen issues for on-campus specimens.
• Performs point-of-care testing as directed.
• Maintains records and supports regulatory requirements.
