Job summary

Labcorp in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Lab Assistant to support our clinical laboratory. You will receive and sort specimens, prepare them for testing, and enter patient data while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 3 months+ specimen processing experience; 3 months+ medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Complete record logs and administrative duties as requested.
