Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Lynwood, CA. Requires CA RN license and 2+ years of experience; BLS, AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring, DCI/BVP certifications; EMR experience.

You will provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, supporting mothers and newborns, while upholding safety and hospital policies during the 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shift. Travel-friendly benefits provided.

Qualifications

Active CA RN license required.
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
BLS certification required.
AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required.
DCI/BVP certification required.
EMR experience with the facility's system required.

Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace department.
Cares for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods.
Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30.
13-week assignment length.
Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing staff.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient safety and appropriate care.
Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions.
