Job summary

The Facilities Group Hawaii is hiring a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee janitorial operations at client facilities across the Island. You will lead daily cleaning activities, ensure schedules and quality standards are met, and supervise staff.

This role emphasizes training, safety, and strong client relations, with opportunities to develop a high‑performing team and advance within an established, growing business.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, or custodial experience required.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, products, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to train, motivate, and develop employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess clear and effective communication skills. Basic English proficiency is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to established schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with company and client expectations.
• Train, coach, and support employees on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety practices.
• Assign duties and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor employee attendance, performance, and productivity.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and submit requests for replenishment as needed.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Address employee concerns and elevate issues to management when necessary.
• Respond promptly to customer requests, complaints, and service concerns.
• Complete inspection reports, incident reports, and other operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and all safety procedures.
• Assist with cleaning duties as needed to support operational requirements and ensure service quality.
• Effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to service excellence.
