Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking an Inventory Assistant to join our Bloomington, MN onsite team for a 12-month temporary assignment. You will support daily warehouse operations, maintain accurate inventory, and collaborate with production and logistics partners to ensure material availability and traceability.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, material issue, goods receipt inspection, and safe handling per safety policies. Strong detail orientation and experience in inventory systems are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in inventory management and control.
• 3+ years in warehouse operations.
• 3+ years forklift operation.
• 3+ years customer service and inventory systems.
• Experience with inventory systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the crib, loading bays, and storage areas.
• Coordinate activities with third-party logistics and warehouse service providers.
• Interface with internal customers to resolve material shortages, supply discrepancies, and machine downtime situations.
• Issue materials to production as required, ensuring accurate system transactions and traceability.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with PO and safety requirements.
• Perform routine and ad-hoc cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in materials management systems and virtual crib platforms.
• Monitor inventory levels to support reorder points, reduce excess inventory, and prevent stockouts.
• Ensure proper material labeling, storage location accuracy, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
• Support Point of Use (POU) delivery systems to production areas.
• Track, locate, and expedite material deliveries as required.
• Provide shift coverage on short notice as operational needs arise.
• Ensure compliance with client Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
