Job summary

The Maintenance Technician at The Clorox Company in Reno, NV is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring proper functioning of equipment and facilities. This safety-sensitive role operates on Shift C (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) with a starting pay rate of $32.69/hr plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and building systems, coordinating with vendors, and upholding GMP and safety standards to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Exposure to PLC and VFD programming/troubleshooting is a plus.
• Basic welding, machining, and hand tool experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other types of equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Oversee the upkeep of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
• Perform repairs and ensure facilities comply with safety and health regulations.
• Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage to property.
• Maintain and update safety documentation and equipment logs.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment failures or malfunctions in a timely manner.
