Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Maintenance Generalist to support equipment reliability across the plant. You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while working with a cross-functional team.

This position is on all shifts in our facility. The role requires physical stamina, basic CMMS use, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience
• Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
• Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and documentation
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various temperatures

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure safe operation of equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Interact with plant personnel to accomplish goals and minimize downtime
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools
