Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an Imaging Care Technician (ICT) for night shifts to support radiology and patient care on a part-time basis in our Michigan facilities.

The ICT collaborates with technologists and radiologists, ensuring safe, clean patient environments and accurate data collection. Must follow instructions, document patient information, and provide compassionate care through all procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of department orientation to meet quality and productivity standards
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, families and staff
• Ability to follow instructions, record patient information, prioritize tasks and organize work
• Walk/stand for 90% of shift; lift/position patients; pay close attention to details
• Able to work where there is potential exposure to infectious agents or contaminants

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as delegated.
• Provides timely feedback to radiology staff regarding patient responses.
• Receives and reports to other caregivers.
• Promptly responds to patient requests.
• Explains planned procedures to reduce fear and encourage cooperation.
• Performs modality-specific tasks such as venipuncture and blood draws.
• Start/discontinue IV lines; monitor oxygen therapy and vital signs.
• Gather data for post-procedure checks and radiology records.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe patient care environment and prepare rooms for exams.
• Transport patients and assist in transfers and discharges.
• Attend radiation safety in-services and maintain awareness of radiation hazards.
